This app is fantastic because I dont have to have an application open to just jot down some quick notes, and I really appreciate the hotkey function to make it easier. I wish there was a way to format the text though, but I think they are working on that. Good job!

Love this app, other apps should be this simple. I would love to see it sync with the note pad that comes with the Mac, as it would show up in icloud, and I could use it on my other devices. It would also be terrific if it had a close button, instead of having to close it with the tiny icon in the menu bar.

Excellent...does exactly what I wanted it to. Once text formating is added Ill rate it 5 out of 5 instead of 4 out of 5. Keep up the good work.

Very neat and easy access to app. I just wish there were skin options to it (for example something not brown), but it is super handy in any case. Since I constantly forget my notebooks, but never my macbook, this is the perfect thing for me!

Ive never found an app that I use so much! Its simple, usable and effective. Its always there when I need to jot something down, which is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for it

very nice interface, intuitive, nice search function and starring notes. There are some features that Id like to have too: - Obviously, syncing between multiple macs/PCs - Sort notes by starred - Three finger swipe to go back and forth the settings and notes If youre reading this, thank you for this app :)

OK, its free BUT it has never worked on my new iMac running Lion. It will allow me to enter notes but it doesnt remember them! The next day they are GONE! Needs fixin!

I wanted to use this app for awhile before I wrote a review. Ive got to say, NotesTab has replaced all other note taking apps Ive tried, and believe me, Ive tried them all. Its so easy to use and call up with a shotcut key. Though it doesnt have a checkbox option like a to-do list, and though I wish it synced with Mac email notes, its still the best note taking app Ive used, mainly because if its ease of use. It loads up quicker than any other note taking app Ive used and its just so nicely designed. NotesTab stands up to their claim, "Notes On Your Mac, Finally Done Right". I couldnt agree more.

This is the best note taking app Ive been able to find for my Mac (Ive tried them all). Quickly add notes from the menubar and always have access…while on your Mac. Please implement iCloud soon! I would love to use this as my primary note taking app but need access to my notes on iPad and iPhone as well. While Apples note app provides this, I much prefer the ease of use of a menubar item on my laptop. Once this has iCloud support, I will eagerly purchase the paid version :)

I really like the idea and the design of this app. One thing I really did not like is that all my notes disappeared when I switched to Mountain Lion. Who knows what else can make them disappear, and it is not like I can easily locate them and save them. Please be aware of it. Oh yes, and one more thing. Once my computer shut down abruptly, as it ran out of power. When I turned it back on I had to delete the app, as it became damaged for some reason. Please be aware of this too.

This app is great, its simple, organized and it never fails. But I would like to have a note where you need a passcode to get into it.

great little product, open your blackberry memos, copy data to word file, email word file to Mac, open file, copy contents to NotesTab and voila, you have solved the problem of how to get your notes from BB to PC to Mac.

Id like to thank for this great App. It helps a lot for me with writing diary for work. I love the search function it has. Not sure about the quality of this app yet since I just downloaded today. Will explore more later as a QA. Just one suggestion as far, it would be nice to be able to sort notes by other than last modified time, for example, Id like to sort my notes by the created time or title.

This app is just awesome. The latest version is even slicker looking than the first one was. I use it for everything I do. I track customer information for my little web design business, record colour scheme info for various projects Im working on, keep a running grocery list, jot down any brilliant flashes of insight I might have, keep tabs on my ongoing weight loss battle, make notes about what I want to plant in the garden come spring and more. The search function just works, its always there in the menubar when I need it and it runs quickly and smoothly. It is simple. It is elegant. It doesnt have all kinds of bells and whistles that I dont need. It just takes notes and it does it well. That being said if you do need bells and whistles, the pro version seems to have plenty to offer you.

This is one of the better note taking apps in regards to the simplicity of it. Although, my computer had shut down from running out of battery power once and the next time I tried to open NotesTab after turning it on, a pop up appeared reading "“NotesTab” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “NotesTab” and download it again from the App Store." I have heard of others who have experienced this similar occurence, which is extremely unfortunate as you are no longer able to access the notes you had created previously. I wouldnt reccommend installing this app if you intend to save important notes on it, because there is a risk that you will lose them.

Wonderful app, has changed how I take notes! A couple requests: 1) I’d love to be able to properly cmd+tab to this app. It’s not included in OS X’s quick-switching list. 2) I’d like to be able to hit tab from the search window and arrow through notes. Other than that, it’s wonderful, and an integral part of my workflow.

It is an amazing app! I highly recommend it to everyone. It works fantastic.
